From high school to college, Terrace Marshall has consistently been a matchup nightmare for opposing defensive backs. At Parkway High School, Terrace unanimously became the number one prospect in Louisiana, going off for 55 catches for 1,250 yards and 15 touchdowns in his junior year. His efforts would lead to the Shreveport Times awarding him the Male Athlete of the Year in 2016-17. In his senior year, Terrace was both a five star and an Under Armour All-American and later committed to staying in-state for LSU.
Under Coach Orgeron, Terrace continued to be an electric player on the field. In his sophomore year, Terrace would break out with 46 catches for 671 yards and 13 touchdowns despite being in a receiving trio that included two other first round talents. That year, Terrace and the LSU Tigers would go on to complete an undefeated season en route to a National Championship win over the Clemson Tigers. Along the way, Terrace showed up in big games, as he had five catches for 89 yards and two touchdowns in a statement win in the SEC Championship over Georgia, as well six catches for 80 catches and two touchdowns in a dominant effort over Big 12 Champion Oklahoma.
Finally to cap off LSU’s dream season, Terrace caught three passes for 46 yards and scored the game-sealing touchdown. It was LSU’s first National Championship since 2007. He followed it up with an even bigger junior year, recording 48 catches for 731 yards and 10 touchdowns through seven games. During his final performance as an LSU Tiger, Terrace recorded ten catches for 134 yards and a touchdown against a top five Texas A&M team. Five months after playing his final game at LSU, Terrace would be selected by the Carolina Panthers in the second round of the 2021 NFL draft, reuniting with his former offensive coordinator at LSU, Joe Brady.
Off the field and consistent with his upbringing and values, Terrace’s major calling card is, M2B or Meant 2 Be. Terrace and his parents started the M2B movement in 2015 because of their belief that everything that happens, happens for a reason and is ultimately part of God’s plan for them. M2B is a major guiding source in Terrace’s daily life and in making major decisions because he knows that at the end of the day, he is following God’s plan for him.
